About the North Dakota Rural Health Association
Greetings!
On behalf of the North Dakota Rural Health Association (NDRHA), I want to thank you for visiting our web site.
In 2007, the seed was planted to consider formation of a state chapter of the National Rural Health Association. After a number of meetings, numerous phone calls, e-mails, and finally an organizational meeting in January of 2008, we have formed a state chapter. We are ready to roll up our sleeves and start to work on improving the health status of North Dakotans and the health care system that delivers these services.
NDRHA is not about hospitals or clinics, pharmacies, or ambulance services. It is about rural health services for the citizens of North Dakota. It is about not just preserving, but improving services available and the health status of our North Dakota citizens.
Our mission is to bring together diverse interests and provide a unified voice to promote and enhance the quality of rural health through leadership, advocacy, coalition building, education, and communication.
Our vision is to be an effective advocate for improved health status of Rural North Dakotans. The great news is that you can help. How you may ask? Join our association. Membership information is available right here on our web site. Individuals or businesses are welcome to join and you certainly don’t have to work in the health field to be a member.
Sincerely,
Pete Antonson, President
North Dakota Chapter of National Rural Health Association
